2019 NFL Draft: Top 5 Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates
By Jeremy Klump
4. N’Keal Harry, WR, New England Patriots (Round 1, Pick 32)
Rob Gronkowski has retired. Danny Amendola has moved on. Josh Gordon can’t be counted on. So who is Tom Brady going to throw the ball to and trust outside of 2018 Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman? Well, Bill Belichick and company decided to answer that question by taking former Arizona State wide receiver N’Keal Harry with the 32nd pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
NFL Network’s Nate Burelson said Harry might be the most complete receiver in the draft. That is high praise from Burelson, but it shows why the Patriots decided to draft him. Harry may never be the fastest receiver on the field, but he will be one of the hardest working.
Brady will love how Harry battles on the field and constantly makes plays. I know it gets said a lot about certain players, but Harry truly fits the Patriot way. Brady and Belichick will get the most out of him and he may end up being the best receiver taken this year when it is all said and done.
Look for Harry to make a big impact in Year 1, catching a ton of passes and also having a big impact in the run game, as he loves to block and do the dirty work. Harry should be on everyone’s Rookie of the Year watchlist.
