30 greatest NFL team rivalries of all-time

22. Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks
Up until two years ago, the Seattle Seahawks were considered the clear favorites in the NFC West, thanks to an impressive streak put together by Russell Wilson, who had reached the playoffs in each of his first five seasons.
Prior to 2017, there were numerous times in which the Los Angeles Rams seemed to find ways to play their best football against the Seahawks. However, it wasn’t always as meaningful since Seattle would still end up reaching the playoffs.
Enter Sean McVay, as the Rams head coach has helped take this rivalry to new levels over the last two seasons, thanks to helping Los Angeles win back-to-back NFC West titles, along with a recent trip to the Super Bowl.
Talent-wise, the Rams will enter the 2019 season as the early favorites to repeat as division champions. But if there’s one team that will give them the most trouble in pulling this off, chances are it will be the Seahawks.
Just because Los Angeles has been the more successful team as of late doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to last. If anything, the Rams’ recent success may only motivate Seattle even more moving forward to prove they can in fact be the better team.
