21. Dallas Cowboys vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Normally, it’s tough to find a consistent rivalry outside the conference. Due to the history surrounding the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers, it only seemed fair to have them on the list.

Since 1960, the two teams have met a total of 32 times, but the one factor that stands out the most is how often the Cowboys and Steelers have met in the Super Bowl. They have faced off three times, with the most recent coming in 1995 when Dallas won 27-17 in Super Bowl XXX.

Most recently, football fans remember the thrilling battle between these two teams during the 2016 regular season. Dallas barely escaped with a 35-30 win in a game that saw three touchdowns in the final two minutes.

Without question, the Cowboys and Steelers will always be considered two of the top NFL teams based off their history alone. And if they were to end up meeting down the road in a few more Super Bowl contests, this wouldn’t come as a surprise one bit.

At the moment, Pittsburgh currently holds the lead in total Super Bowls with six, while Dallas is close behind with five.

Could either one of these teams add to their beloved total in 2019? Better yet, could the Cowboys and Steelers end up meeting in Miami for a fourth appearance in the Super Bowl together?

Only time will tell, but from a football fan’s perspective, this would be amazing to see.
