20. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos

First off, the argument can be made the AFC West has some of the best rivalries in the NFL. Just look at the intensity behind the teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos.

Going back all the way to 1960 with the Chiefs, who were known as the Dallas Texans, this rivalry could arguably be higher on this list. For now, coming in at No. 20 seems fair.

While Kansas City has benefitted from the most recent success by winning seven games in a row during this series, Denver still has the upper hand at the moment. The Broncos have three Super Bowl titles to their name, compared to just one by the Chiefs.

Of course, if the first full year playing under Patrick Mahomes is any sign of what the future holds, that could quickly change for Kansas City. The young quarterback is a rare kind of talent. Him taking home NFL MVP honors last season will back that statement up.

Then again, the Broncos certainly aren’t going to make it easy for Mahomes and company in 2019. Von Miller leads that elite defense, along with another change at quarterback in Joe Flacco. Hopefully, that will help Denver put an end to their three-year playoff drought.
