11. Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders
Do the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders deserve the honors of being the top rivalry in the AFC West? Maybe not, but they certainly make a strong case for it.
This topic of discussion is certainly debatable, but also keep in mind the Broncos and Raiders each have three Super Bowl titles to their name, with Denver taking home the latest honors from Super Bowl 50.
In recent years, both teams haven’t exactly lived up to expectations as far as being a serious contender in the AFC is concerned. The good news is 2019 will be a fresh start for both parties.
With Jon Gruden hoping to turn things around in his second season as head coach with the Raiders, the Broncos also hope to see their offense finally get on track now that Joe Flacco will be calling the shots under center.
Maybe if all goes according to plan for both teams next season, the two meetings between Oakland and Denver will play a big factor in who has a legitimate shot to take down the Kansas City Chiefs in the division.
Between the new weapons Derek Carr has to work with on offense led by Antonio Brown to Denver’s elite defense led by Von Miller, what’s not to like about these AFC West rivals?
