30 greatest NFL team rivalries of all-time
By Dan Parzych
8. Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Will Joe Flacco miss facing the Pittsburgh Steelers twice a year? As crazy as it sounds, deep down the former Baltimore Ravens quarterback will miss the intensity surrounding this rivalry, as it’s been one of the best in the game for a long time.
Of course, now that Flacco is out of the picture, the time has come for Lamar Jackson to begin experiencing the rivalry on a consistent basis. The Ravens hope the former Louisville star uses the surprise experience as a rookie to elevate his game to a new level.
Jackson knows competing for the AFC North title each season means doing whatever it takes to defeat Pittsburgh, which of course is always easier said than done.
When looking at all the times these games have been decided by single digits, including last November when the Steelers pulled off the 23-16 win, it’s easy to see why football fans always love when these AFC North rivals happen to meet for a third time in January.
The best part is, with the Ravens and Steelers loaded with talent on both sides of the football, the intensity between these two teams seems like it’s only going to continue for years to come.
