5. Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys

Some will make the claim that when it comes to the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys don’t exactly view the Philadelphia Eagles as their top rival, as the Washington Redskins could arguably take that honor with their history.

However, the Eagles and Cowboys deserve plenty of consideration to be viewed as the top rivalry within the NFC East, especially when looking at some of their recent meetings from over the years that resulted in classics.

Remember in 2013 when the Eagles defeated the Cowboys in Dallas during Week 17 to rob them of the NFC East title? Better yet, how about the 2009 season in which the Cowboys defeated the Eagles three times, including the first round of the playoffs?

Between Philadelphia winning their first Super Bowl title during the 2017 season, along with Dallas recently winning the NFC East title for the second time in three years, this NFC East rivalry looks like it’s only going to continue heating up over the next few years.

With Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott only scratching the surface of their true potential after coming into the league back in 2016, the best has yet to come with these two quarterbacks on their respective teams.
