Here are three reasons the Denver Broncos should strong consider Drew Lock over Joe Flacco as the starter during the 2019 season.

Ever since Peyton Manning decided to call it a career after winning the Super Bowl a little over three years ago, the Denver Broncos have struggled to find a reliable quarterback to build the offense around with numerous failed attempts.

From Brock Osweiler to even Case Keenum last season, it’s been a rough three years for the Broncos when it comes to trying to find that next potential quarterback who can change the face of the franchise.

With that being said, Denver hopes Drew Lock finally turns out to be the quarterback the team has been waiting for after using a second-round pick on the former Missouri standout during the 2019 NFL Draft.

When taking into consideration that Lock was Denver’s third pick of the draft after landing Noah Fant (Round 1) and Dalton Risner (Round 2), the argument can be made that the Broncos earned a steal since Lock could have easily been selected on opening night.

During the offseason since there was no way of knowing what would take place in the draft, the Broncos shocked the NFL world by agreeing to a trade with the Baltimore Ravens to acquire Joe Flacco to show the team was giving up on Keenum after only one season.

Rightfully so, Denver knows that Flacco is only part of the short-term solution on offense since the 34-year-old isn’t getting any younger. But if the Broncos wanted to speed up the development process, they would start Lock over Flacco right away in 2019, and here are three reasons to take the move into consideration.
