2. Fitzpatrick isn’t anything worth bragging about

Remember early on in the 2019 season when Fitzpatrick got off to one of the hottest starts in the NFL, and there were talks about the veteran possibly being a candidate for MVP?

Clearly, that was ridiculous to even think about looking back since it’s tough to make a case for someone after only a few games, but also this sums up what Fitzpatrick’s career in the NFL has been for the most part.

Then again, Fitzpatrick does deserve some credit for still finding ways to land work in the NFL since Miami clearly sees something special in him, whether the rest of the league agrees with them or not.

With that being said, one of the most difficult things to figure out about Fitzpatrick was how the Dolphins were still willing to bring him on board when they were expected to go through rebuilding mode in 2019 since one would assume they would focus on a younger quarterback.

It would be one thing if Fitzpatrick was this future Hall of Fame quarterback that actually gave Miami a fighting chance to be a serious contender in 2019, but obviously this isn’t the case.

So when taking all of this into consideration, why not just let Fitzpatrick teach Rosen from the sidelines as the backup?
