Myles Gaskin. Scouting Report. RB. 234. player. 59. Pick Analysis. Washington

The first pick in the draft for the Miami Dolphins was their best, as they ended up with Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins. One of the better interior linemen in the NCAA, Wilkins returned for his senior season, despite knowing he could have been a first-round pick last draft. His goal was to do something special and he did, helping to win a National Championship for the Tigers.

They continued to work on the line of scrimmage, as new head coach Brian Flores looks to emphasize toughness on his team. They landed Wisconsin guard Michael Deiter and Ohio State tackle Isaiah Prince — with linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel being mixed in there (another Wisconsin product).

They finished the draft off by adding to their backfield with back-to-back picks. First, at No. 233 it was Chandler Cox out of Auburn. A 242-pound fullback, Cox will help clear the way for the player chosen right after him, Myles Gaskin.

The Washington running back is the career-leader in the history of his program and became the first Pac-12 back to ever cross the 1,000-yard mark four seasons in a row. In all, he had 5,323 yards on the ground and 57 touchdowns.

Currently, the Dolphins have Kenyan Drake and Kallen Ballage, which means Gaskin should have no problem finding snaps in the committee. He could end up surprising and prove to be the most balanced of the three. Pair this class of rookies with their addition of Josh Rosen and suddenly things look a lot better for Miami in 2019.
