2. DL Montravius Adams

Through two seasons, Montravius Adams has just 22 tackles. He has just 1.5 sacks and six quarterback hits. He doesn’t bring a ton to the table as a pass rusher or as a run stuffer. After the team drafted Rashan Gary and Kingsley Keke, Adams slipped even further in the defensive line rotation.

It was going to be tough for him to get snaps on the defensive line, but it’s now going to be next to impossible with the group getting even deeper.

Adams has failed to accomplish much after being drafted in the third round. The Packers were hoping to solidify their defensive line rotation next to Kenny Clark and Mike Daniels with him as another big body to soak up blockers. The problem is he hasn’t been on the field enough to make that happen. He’s dealt with injuries both years. Even when the team shut down Clark and Daniels last year, he wasn’t getting a consistent number of snaps.

Defensive linemen are normally available in abundance. The number of rotational guys is even higher. When final cuts come out, Green Bay could look to snatch a guy up off of a team that has a loaded front. That could quickly mean that Adams would be let go, and that’s assuming that he wasn’t cut before then. His seat his only getting warmer.
