Cleveland Browns: Top 5 fantasy football impact players
By Cory Kinnan
1. Nick Chubb, RB
Nick Chubb was virtually unused by the Browns during the first seven games of the season before general manager John Dorsey made an executive decision to trade Hyde in order to get him more carries. Chubb did not disappoint, ranking as the 17th best running back in fantasy football last year with only nine games as the starting back in Cleveland.
With Johnson asking for a trade and Kareem Hunt suspended for the first eight games of the 2019 season, Chubb is once again in line for a heavy workload. He will be a fantasy diamond this year and will most likely be gone in the first four rounds of fantasy drafts everywhere.
If Chubb’s production over his nine games as the starter was averaged over the span of 16 games, he would have finished the year as the fifth-ranked running back in terms of fantasy football.
Opposing defenses will not be able to key in on the run against the Browns in 2019 with the fear of being burned deep by Callaway or Beckham Jr., and the key benefactor of this will be Chubb. He should be firmly on the radar of just about anyone who plays fantasy football is in line for another huge year to start his career.
