The Seattle Seahawks have a lot of new faces at key positions. We could see some new top producers on the team this season.

The amount of roster turnover for the Seattle Seahawks over the last three years has been ridiculous. Many former leaders have either retired or are now playing for other teams. With so much change, openings have been created for younger players to assume larger roles. In 2019, we’re bound to see a few new faces rise among the team’s ranks.

Before we get into predicting the team’s leaders in the main statistical categories, I want to stress that these are all just predictions. While I will be basing all of my choices on numbers and backing them up with other evidence, that doesn’t mean they’ll be correct and some may be controversial. If anything, at least that will mean the article has a unique perspective to offer.

Now, let’s just cross off the most obvious selection on this list.

Passing Yards

It’s Russell Wilson. I know — shocking. The picks will get more interesting as we go along, but there really is no doubt that Wilson will be the best player on the Seahawks offense in 2019. The five-time Pro Bowler just signed a four-year, $140 million extension this offseason, which means he’ll be owning this category for years to come.

Wilson has never missed a start during his seven-year career, and he’s thrown together a string of great years recently. While his passing yardage totals aren’t exactly flashy, he performs with extreme efficiency and his passing talent is what allows the Seahawks to focus on the run game so much. Considering the Seahawks plan on retaining their run-heavy style from last season, I expect Wilson will throw for roughly 3,600 yards, 35 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
