The Green Bay Packers bolstered their roster in a big way during the 2019 offseason. Here we rank the 10 best players currently on the team.

The Green Bay Packers appear to be on the rise once again after missing the playoffs for two consecutive seasons in 2017 and 2018. Finishing at 6-9-1 last year, a strong offseason performance in free agency and the draft should see the Packers back in the playoff hunt this coming season. Which players could be the main catalysts for a turnaround?

Of course, we all know quarterback Aaron Rodgers will undoubtedly be on our list of top 10 players. Some newcomers certainly have an argument, as well, especially since the Packers went out of their way to pay big money to four marquee free agents in Preston Smith, Za’Darius Smith, Billy Turner and Adrian Amos.

The Packers are still a relatively young team, so many players on our list are under 30 years old. And even though some youngsters may not have made the list, with a new head coach in Matt LaFleur, we should see plenty of opportunity for players who may not have fared well with Mike McCarthy. But for now, we’re using past performance to create our current list.

Green Bay could see a huge boost in the running game due to LaFleur’s emphasis on an outside zone running scheme. Players like Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams and rookie Dexter Williams should see plenty of action this coming season. It’s time for Jones to show why he’s considered one of the best young runners in the NFL. Don’t be surprised if Green Bay runs the ball more than they ever have in 2019.

As for the passing game, Rodgers will look to bounce back after two injury-riddled seasons. Davante Adams should repeat as the team’s leading receiver, and it’d be no surprise to see him lead the league in touchdowns. Jimmy Graham will look to see an increase in production after a disappointing first season in Green Bay.

The Packers have a nice young core of players surrounded by experienced veterans. The team will be banking on a rise in play from their younger contributors in order to make the playoffs for the first time in two seasons. Find out which players will help Green Bay’s quest in our list of top 10 players currently on the roster:

NOTE: Despite never playing in a regular season game for the Packers, free agency additions and draft picks were eligible for this list.
