For all you NFL Draft nuts, the evaluation never stops. Let’s take an early dive into the 2020 draft class and fire up the mock draft machine.

The 2019 NFL Draft season has come and gone, leaving a long time for us to wait until the start of the regular season. To counteract the ensuing post-draft sadness, we are going to pull out a little preview into the 2020 NFL Draft class with a good old-fashioned mock draft.

Let’s remember that these are purely projections. Evaluations are in a constant state of flux and a ton will change before next spring. Team needs will change, players will elevate, digress and come out of nowhere in preparation for next year.

Also, this draft order is completely random so let’s not all lose our minds that your favorite team isn’t winning the Super Bowl next year. Let us all remember that this is May 2019, so calling people names is frowned upon.

1. Miami Dolphins: Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

I’m holding out hope that this projected finish is more due to a team with holes all over the roster, and not due to Josh Rosen showing an inability to be the quarterback evaluators projected him to be coming out of UCLA. With this belief in Rosen moving forward, the Dolphins draft him a running mate in Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Jeudy combines his big-time speed with effortless route running ability to establish himself as one of the premier wide receiver prospects in recent memory. A wide receiver with the first pick? You bet I did it! Bad rosters always need to draft the best player. Right now, that is Jerry Jeudy.

2. Washington Redskins: Grant Delpit, S, LSU

The acquisition of Haha Clinton-Dix from the Green Bay Packers last season was a highly anticipated one. Clinton-Dix was incredibly disappointing and now leaves a huge question mark for the Redskins on the back end of their defense.

Enter in Grant Delpit as one of the cleanest safety prospects in recent memory. The LSU product is a symbol of versatility. Whether you need a tight end locked up in coverage, an extra defender in the box or a slot defender blitzing off the edge, Delpit is your guy.
