25. Philadelphia Eagles: Kristian Fulton, DB, LSU

The Philadelphia Eagles have a plethora of young defensive back vying for the cornerback position. Unfortunately for the Eagles, youth does not necessarily mean great potential. Ronald Darby is fine, but he is injury prone and was only brought back to Philly on a one-year deal. 2017 second-round draft pick Sidney Jones has been seemingly nonexistent since recovering from a ruptured Achilles before his rookie season.

Of course, Jalen Mills is also returning from injury, but he has been plagued with penalties and poor transitions during his time in Philly (cough, move him to safety!). Rasul Douglas has played relatively well when pressed into action but he doesn’t seem like the type of player you would want to start on a consistent basis.

Then you have guys like Cre’Von LeBlanc and Avonte Maddox, who profile much better as slot defenders. The Eagles need a true No. 1 guy who they feel good about matching up against the opposing offenses number one receiver.

In order to find that, we head back to the real DBU and select Kristian Fulton from LSU. Fulton is the latest first-round defensive back prospect from the Tigers, who boast a tantalizing amount of talent. This year will be big for Fulton, getting out of Greedy Williams shadow, in order to showcase just how talented he is.

26. Pittsburgh Steelers: K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU

The forgotten man on the LSU defense, K’Lavon Chaisson was poised for a breakout sophomore season before he was lost during the first game of the season against Miami with a knee injury. His teammate, Devin White, had predicted Chaisson to break the NCAA sack record before the season had started.

At 6-4 and 240 pounds, Chaisson sports a phenomenal frame and athletic profile to fit nicely as an outside rusher in a 3-4 system. In large, former first-round pick Bud Dupree has been underwhelming during his time with the Steelers. Chaisson could be a super attractive option opposite of third-year pro T.J. Watt.
