Pittsburgh Steelers

For the first time in a long time, the Pittsburgh Steelers couldn’t handle all the drama. It’s been boiling for a couple of seasons now as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has freely said whatever he wanted — and bashed everyone from the front office to his teammates. There was also Antonio Brown doing things like a Facebook Live video in the middle of coach Mike Tomlin’s locker room speech.

They never do anything about their actions and it finally blew up when the two went at each other. Brown was shipped off and they got minimal value in return. They also lost Le’Veon Bell, after a year-plus contract dispute that also got ugly. With him in New York, James Conner is the full-time guy now, but did get some help in the form of Benny Snell from Kentucky.

Their top move was trading up for Devin Bush, but they gave up an awful lot for a linebacker. Still, he fills a need — as did Justin Layne who fell to the third round for them.

Overall, it was an underwhelming offseason where they didn’t get much better. That’s not a good sign for a team that was already on the brink of implosion after last season.
