By J.P. Scott
Every team landed themselves a bargain in the 2019 NFL Draft and we take a look at the best value pick all 32 teams made.
The 2019 NFL Draft wrapped up weeks ago, but that hasn’t stopped most of us from combing through and analyzing each and every pick. Fans, media members and draft gurus alike continue to look at the talent, fit and value of each pick and how exactly each rookie could possibly help his respective team.
Today, we’re looking at the value picks. I’ve gone through every draft pick for all 32 teams and highlighted each franchise’s best value pick from the 2019 NFL Draft.
How do you find such a selection for each team? Like anything else when analyzing sports without existing stats, it’s a highly subjective process. Basically, you find a player with elite talent and/or rare skills who fell to a particular team lower than most experts believe he should have. It’s that easy.
All NFL 32 teams found some value in the 2019 NFL Draft, some more successfully than others. Surprise strategies, trades, injuries and character issues caused certain prospects to fall lower than they probably should have. But that’s why we love the NFL Draft.
Nothing is certain, and every single mock draft you read leading up to the annual selection show — regardless of what site it’s on — is essentially spaghetti thrown against a wall in hopes that some of it sticks.
Being wrong is a lucrative business in that regard, but landing a talented player much later than most thought you could is invaluable. Without further ado, I present to you the best value picks for all 32 NFL franchises during the 2019 NFL Draft.
