AFC South
Houston Texans: Charles Omenlhu, DE, Texas
A lot of mock drafts and rankings had Charles Omenlhu as a top 50 prospect. At the very least, he provides solid depth for the Houston Texans defensive line rotation. The Texans landed him in the fifth round.
Indianapolis Colts: Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State
In a strange wide receiver class, it was difficult to parse through traditional wideouts and utility playmakers. Parris Campbell is a playmaker and a dangerous new toy in Andrew Luck’s arsenal. The Colts got a borderline first-round talent late in the second round — and they did it with their third overall pick.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Josh Allen, Edge, Kentucky
It’s hard to be considered a “steal” when you get selected seventh overall, but that’s exactly what Jacksonville’s acquisition of Josh Allen was. Thanks to a couple of surprise picks by the Raiders and Giants, the Jaguars were able to land a consensus top-four prospect at No. 7. Allen provides elite pass-rushing ability to an already lethal Jacksonville front-seven.
Tennessee Titans: Amani Hooker, S, Iowa
Amani Hooker was, at worst, a second-round talent and one of the best safeties in the 2019 NFL Draft class. The Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year out of Iowa fell to the Tennessee Titans in the fourth round.
