Houston Texans: 9-7

All hope seemed lost for the Houston Texans early on last season when it took until Week 4 just to earn their first win. However, the team turn things around by eventually winning the AFC South title. It shows how special of a group they are.

Unfortunately, the Texans watched their season end sooner than expected in January after falling to the Indianapolis Colts during Wild Card Weekend. But with the talent they have to work with, this team should remain a top contender in the AFC.

At the beginning of last season, there were some questions surrounding the health status of Deshaun Watson after his rookie campaign ended earlier than expected in 2017 as a result of a torn ACL.

But as soon as Watson looked like his normal self with his explosive ways last season, any remaining concerns quickly went out the window.

Just like a few other teams already discussed, the Texans spent years searching for a reliable quarterback to build the franchise around. What Watson has been able to accomplish in such a short time has been amazing to witness.

What’s even more exciting for Houston is Watson is only scratching the surface of his true potential on offense for the Texans. He should continue to work his way up the ranks of top quarterbacks in the league.

Repeating as division champions will be extra difficult when looking at the other three teams, but even if Houston were to earn a Wild Card spot, the Texans could still do damage in January.
