Arizona Cardinals: 3-13

Did the Arizona Cardinals make the right decision replacing Josh Rosen with Kyler Murray after selecting the Oklahoma star No. 1 in this year’s draft?

Many will make the case that Rosen deserved another chance to prove himself with the Cardinals since he wasn’t exactly in the best situation as a rookie in 2018. However, Arizona didn’t want to look back at some point wishing the Cardinals had gone with Murray.

Even though Murray has yet to take a single snap on the field, in comparison to Rosen, the rookie seems to be the better option. His explosive style of play will hopefully help the Cardinals’ offense return to their impressive ways from a few years ago.

With that being said, no one would be surprised if Murray ended up dealing with some growing pains like most rookie quarterbacks. Arizona still seems to be a work in progress, even if the offense sees a little bit of an extra boost in 2019.

In the long run, the decision to go with Murray should work wonders for the Cardinals. It will be interesting to see how the rookie ends up playing in games outside the division as well during his first NFL season.

Facing teams like the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks twice was already going to be a challenge for Murray and the Cardinals, but road games against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens will be heavy tests as well.

Playoffs may be a stretch this year for Arizona, but at least the early starting experience as a rookie is what the Cardinals care about the most with Murray.
