New England Patriots: 11-5

Before anyone freaks out over how a team coming off a Super Bowl win like the New England Patriots could be predicted to only win 11 games the following season, keep in mind this is the same amount they won last year.

As long as Tom Brady is healthy enough to still suit up, the Patriots are always going to be viewed as one of the early favorites in the AFC to make a run at the Super Bowl.

Watching Brady and Bill Belichick earn their sixth Super Bowl title together was truly incredible last February. The scary factor to think about is how these two could easily add a few more to their collection before the time comes for each of them to call it a career.

But instead of jumping too far ahead, all the focus surrounding New England at the moment is doing whatever it takes to make sure they repeat as Super Bowl champions.

With all due respect to the other three teams, it’s safe to assume that New England will most likely finish on top of the AFC East once again in 2019, but there could be a few bumps outside the division.

Between kicking off the regular season at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers or a rematch of the AFC Championship in December against a hungry Kansas City Chiefs team, the Patriots better be ready for another challenging season.

Defending a Super Bowl title is never an easy task, but at least Brady and the Patriots have proven to be able to handle the pressure before.
