New York Jets: 5-11

After years of being patient and searching, the New York Jets seem to finally have their quarterback of the future in Sam Darnold. The team certainly deserves credit for putting together a successful offseason by adding new talent.

Football fans can say what they want about their concerns surrounding Le’Veon Bell after a year away from football, but if the running back returns to his normal form, this will take a ton of pressure off Darnold under center.

Like most rookies, Darnold saw his fair share of struggles during his first NFL season in 2018, but the Jets would love nothing more than to see that experience pay off to help elevate his game to new levels.

While the NFL season can be a long four months, New York will be tested early on in September when looking at the tough schedule they have to deal with. This includes home games against the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns before hitting the road for the next two.

With those next two games being against the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles, the Jets will get an early taste to see where their young quarterback stands.

Unfortunately, as much as the Jets would love to take a major leap in the right direction, Adam Gase’s team could end up going through a year of rebuilding as well.

New York only winning four games last season shows how much of a work in progress this team really is. Despite some of the new talent on both sides of the football, 2019 may not even be much different.
