Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 3-13

Without question, the decision to move on from Dirk Koetter was the right one for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since the former head coach seemed to be holding the team back all these years.

Convincing Bruce Arians to come out of retirement will hopefully help Jameis Winston get to the level the Buccaneers need him to be on in order to be viewed as a serious contender in the NFC. Unfortunately, the team may need to be a little patient.

After only winning five games all of last season, a team like Tampa Bay would seem capable of improving that number during the 2019 season since Arians is respected as one of the best coaches in the game for a reason.

However, just because expectations are high for Arians to help develop Winston doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to happen. With the Buccaneers possibly facing a tough decision after this season in regards to keeping him around, this only brings more pressure to the table.

DeSean Jackson may no longer be around after Tampa Bay decided to trade him to the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. At least Mike Evans’ presence will continue to help make life a little easier for Winston under center.

Maybe if these two can find a way to make sure the Buccaneers’ offense plays on a consistent level on a weekly basis, Tampa Bay will have a fighting chance to make things interesting in the NFC South.

Unfortunately for the Buccaneers, this seems unlikely since some of their rivals like the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons may be too talented for them to handle.
