Baltimore Ravens: 10-6

How weird is it going to be to watch the Baltimore Ravens next season now that Joe Flacco is no longer the official starter?

Last offseason when the Ravens traded back up to the first round to land Lamar Jackson, the team most likely knew it wouldn’t be long before the youngster took over the starting job for Flacco. However, no one expected it to happen in the middle of his rookie season.

Even if this only took place as a result of Flacco dealing with an injury, just the fact that Jackson helped Baltimore finish on top of the AFC North makes it seem like the Ravens made the right choice when looking at all the potential surrounding the former Louisville star.

Now, all the attention will be focused on what kind of impact Jackson makes during his sophomore campaign. There will be some extra pressure with the quarterback to show the Ravens made the right call trading Flacco to the Denver Broncos.

The good news for Jackson and the Ravens is the offense is loaded with plenty of new faces for the quarterback to work with, ranging from Mark Ingram in the backfield to two new rookies at receiver in Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin.

Take this into consideration with Baltimore’s reputation for normally having a top defense in the league as shown in previous years, there’s every reason to believe that Jackson and the Ravens will be a top contender in the AFC once again during the 2019 season.
