Cleveland Browns: 11-5

Do the Cleveland Browns have what it takes to live up to the high expectations the team faces heading into the 2019 season?

Thanks to last year’s success in which they finished 7-8-1, there is actually some excitement surrounding the Browns heading into a new season for the first time in what feels like forever. But just because the hype is there doesn’t mean the success will necessarily take place.

After years of trying to address their need at the quarterback position, the Browns seem to have finally found their answer in Baker Mayfield. Just look at how impressive his rookie campaign in 2018 was for Cleveland.

The Browns already did a fantastic job providing Mayfield a solid offense to work with thanks to players like Jarvis Landry at receiver, but the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. is about to take things to a whole new level.

All of a sudden, the trade to land Beckham resulted in Cleveland becoming a potential playoff contender to a strong contender to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. This is unbelievable to think about for a team that used to be the laughing-stock across the NFL.

Finishing on top of the division will be challenging thanks to other teams like the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers (sorry, Cincinnati Bengals), but the Browns will be ready.

Mayfield has certainly surprised a lot of football fans with his impressive level of maturity. Now that he’s officially been given the keys to the offense after last year, the sky seems to be the limit for the young quarterback in Cleveland.
