10. Baltimore Ravens add power running and deep speed on offense

Last season, the Baltimore Ravens decided it was time to move on from quarterback Joe Flacco. He had won them a Super Bowl in the past, but the offense just seemed flat for years. A lot had to do with their porous receiving corps, which has been a problem for years, but Flacco still took all the blame.

The player tabbed as his replacement was Louisville Cardinals’ star Lamar Jackson, who ended up starting the final seven games and leading the Ravens to an AFC North title. Flacco was then traded in the offseason, making it official that Jackson was the man in the Charm City.

With that being true, Baltimore went out to put more talent around its dual-threat quarterback. Eric DeCosta took over as general manager after Ozzie Newsome retired and he had a solid first offseason.

In free agency, DeCosta landed safety Earl Thomas, although they did overpay for him. The Ravens also cut Eric Weddle, making it seem like less of an impressive move. DeCosta did add former New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram, who will help Jackson immensely on the offensive side of the ball.

Ingram is a powerful runner who averages 4.5 yards per rush in his career and has scored 50 touchdowns. While he brings the thunder, Baltimore also added some lightning with their first-round draft pick.

At No. 25 overall, Baltimore took Oklahoma Sooners wide receiver Marquise Brown. The cousin of Antonio Brown, Marquise was a deep threat for the Sooners and will become a favorite target of Jackson’s right away. The offense was stagnant at times, even with the explosive Jackson under center, but these additions should change that.
