4. Washington Redskins land Dwayne Haskins, Montez Sweat
Just before the 2019 NFL Draft kicked off, there was a buzz on social media about Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder preparing for a big night. That shot fear into the hearts of their fans, as it reminded them of the 2012 NFL Draft when Snyder and the front office mortgaged their future for Robert Griffin III.
Just as was the case back then, Washington needed a quarterback but the price they paid — not to mention how hard Griffin flopped — was something the fans didn’t want to relive.
Then, the draft began and Washington just stayed put at No. 15 and still somehow landed their man. Unbelivably, Dwayne Haskins fell to No. 15 after Kyler Murray went first overall to the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Giants shocked the world taking Daniel Jones at No. 6 instead of Haskins.

For Washington, they landed a player who was considered the top quarterback prospect not too long ago.
The only real knock on Haskins is his inexperience, as he started just one full season for the Buckeyes. Nevertheless, he was a stud in that campaign tossing 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns against just eight interceptions.
He may not be ready to start in Week 1 due to his lack of experience, but the move for Case Keenum in the offseason gives him some time to get things figured out without being rushed.
Washington wasn’t finished there, however, as Snyder did end up making a move. The Redskins jumped back into the end of the first and landed Montez Sweat out of Mississippi State.
After losing Preston Brown in free agency, the Redskins rebounded nicely and landed a stud from the SEC who excels at pressuring the quarterback.
So in a sense, Snyder did take over the draft. He just didn’t have to go crazy in doing so this time.
