The Green Bay Packers can complete their 2019 roster by signing any one of the following free agents. Here are five potential signings that make sense.

Although the Green Bay Packers already made plenty of splashes in free agency this offseason, there’s still a few possible signings that make sense from both the team’s and player’s perspective.

The Packers already brought in pass rush help in the form of Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith, both of whom figure to be instant starters in Mike Pettine’s defense. Safety Adrian Amos and guard Billy Turner were the other two marquee free agent signings for Green Bay.

General manager Brian Gutekunst clearly did his best to help fortify the Packers’ roster through free agency. Coupled with a strong draft class, Green Bay appears to be one of the NFC’s serious contenders once again. Many analysts pegged the green and gold as one of the biggest turnarounds of the offseason.

After all of their free agency signings and draft selections, the Packers currently hold $8.9 million in cap space, per Spotrac. The only 2019 draft pick to have not signed yet is tight end Jace Sternberger, who was selected in the third round. In other words, Green Bay could have room for one more key free agency addition.

That said, the salary cap can be easily manipulated in the form of prorated bonuses and restructured contracts, so potential multiple signings at reasonable price points aren’t out of the question. But it remains unlikely the Packers would sign multiple free agents at this point in the offseason.

If the Packers do elect to bring in new players, however, it’d likely occur at either safety or linebacker. News broke recently that Josh Jones wants to be traded (originally reported by ESPN’s Rob Demovsky), which would deplete Green Bay’s depth at both inside linebacker and safety.

With plenty of options still available on the free agent market, here are a five potential signings the Packers could pursue to shore up their 2019 roster.
