Cleveland Browns
Aggressive might be a low-ball description of the way that Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey has approached the 2019 offseason as he looks to take this team from just shy of a .500 record to winning the AFC North. On both sides of the ball, Dorsey has made clear efforts to try and make this Browns team an undeniable contender and he’s done a terrific job to this point.
On offense, the big moves have been highly publicized, starting with the trade for Odell Beckham Jr. They can now pair one of the best wide receivers in the game with Baker Mayfield and a talented offensive mind in new head coach Freddie Kitchens. Additionally, Dorsey also took a risk in signing Kareem Hunt and, while the running back is suspended for the first eight games of 2019, his impact will be felt on offense when he sees the field eventually.
As for the defense, the Browns have been far from quiet there as well. They completed a trade for Olivier Vernon to put on the edge opposite of Myles Garrett, signed Sheldon Richardson for interior depth up front, landed Morgan Burnett to help alleviate pressure from trading away Jabrill Peppers and drafted the likes of Greedy Williams, Sione Takitaki and Mack Wilson to help the defense as well.
Gerald McCoy, however, would be another top-tier addition that would tremendously help the defensive unit. Even with Richardson, the Browns could still use more depth on the interior of the defensive line and McCoy is as good of an option as they could hope for. He would make a group that is already on the verge of looking elite pretty much undeniably great on paper.
