2. Philadelphia Eagles
For the past two seasons, the Philadelphia Eagles have made the postseason with their backup quarterback under center. Nick Foles filled in for Carson Wentz during the 2017 playoffs and led the team to their first-ever Super Bowl win. In that victory, Foles even won the Super Bowl MVP as he and the Eagles outlasted the New England Patriots.

With Wentz slow to recover in 2018, Foles again started for the Eagles at the beginning of the year. He gave way to Wentz once his health allowed but by season’s end, Foles was the man once again. This time, Wentz had a back injury that sidelined him.
While Wentz was healthy, the Eagles were only 5-6 and weren’t expected to be in the playoffs. Then when Foles came in, they rebounded and earned a Wild Card spot and even knocked off the Chicago Bears in the first weekend.
Fast forward to this season and they’re entering the year without Foles as the security blanket behind Wentz after the former Super Bowl MVP headed to Jacksonville. That’s a scary proposition considering Wentz has missed so much time the past two seasons. Should he again get hurt, and he’s had some problems every year he’s been in the NFL, things could fall apart quickly.
