2. Murray exceeds all expectations as rookie

Looking back at the draft, the biggest fear surrounding Arizona was the team would end up wondering what could have been if Murray ended up being the better option over Rosen, so it was easy to understand their decision to go with the Oklahoma star at No. 1.

Just the thought of Arizona using first-round picks on quarterbacks two years in a row sounds frustrating but, hopefully, it will all be worth it now that Murray is on board.

Football fans can say whatever they want about Murray being too small to succeed at the NFL level, but his explosive level of play from Oklahoma makes this decision seem like it could be a complete game changer for the Cardinals on offense.

Most likely, Murray will need some time to adjust to playing at the NFL level since it’s a whole new ball game compared to college, but also there’s always the chance of the rookie making a serious impact right away.

Throwing Murray into the fire right away as the starter under center is the best thing Arizona can do for their quarterback to give him that necessary experience right away, and if all goes well, the Cardinals will see a huge difference on offense when compared to last year.
