1. Johnson returns to his old ways

During the 2016 season, David Johnson made a strong case for himself in regards to being one of the most dangerous running backs in the NFL when looking at the impressive numbers he put together for the Cardinals.

By finding the end zone 20 times (four receiving) along with recording 2,118 yards from the line of scrimmage, the future seemed bright for Johnson in Arizona to keep the offense in great shape for years to come.

Unfortunately, an early injury to Johnson in 2017 limited the running back to appearing in just one game, and if that wasn’t frustrating enough, it was difficult for him to make an impact last year since Arizona, in general, struggled as a team.

Finishing with only 1,386 yards from scrimmage along with 10 total touchdowns was disappointing for a player with the skill set of Johnson, but also wasn’t entirely his fault since the Cardinals were trailing in most games.

Between an upgrade at quarterback in Murray along with an offensive line that will hopefully be more reliable, here’s to hoping Johnson can find a way to return to that playing level from 2016 because the Cardinals can use all of the extra help possible at this point.
