Aaron Rodgers
- Green Bay Packers (2005-present)
When it comes to the history of the National Football League, few quarterbacks have done it better than Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers. His incredible arm strength, accuracy and will to win is second to none. After taking over for Brett Favre, he has become one of the best the game has ever seen.
During the 2005 NFL Draft, Rodgers was slated to go in the first round, but the big question was whether he, or Alex Smith would go No. 1 overall. When the San Francisco 49ers picked Smith first, Rodgers fell all the way to No. 24 overall, where the Packers were waiting with open arms.
However, because Favre was still one of the best quarterbacks in the game, Rodgers had to sit for three seasons, until Favre decided to retire in March 2008. That made Rodgers the starter. Even though Favre decided to come out of retirement later on that preseason, he was traded away to the New York Jets.
Since becoming the starter in Green Bay, Rodgers has become a Super Bowl MVP, set numerous NFL records and has the best touchdown-to-interception ratio in NFL history.
Incredibly, Rodgers has thrown 338 touchdowns to only 80 interceptions, while being named to seven Pro Bowls and setting the NFL’s career record for passer rating with a 103.1 mark.
