Kirk Cousins

  • Washington Redskins (2012-17)
  • Minnesota Vikings (2018-present)

With the No. 2 overall pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected Robert Griffin III to be their franchise quarterback. However, it was their fourth-round pick that year that would have a lasting impression on the franchise, setting numerous records in his six seasons in D.C.

Kirk Cousins would end up throwing for 300 yards a franchise-record 24 times, setting the record with three straight 4,000-yard seasons, while also being named to the Pro Bowl in 2016.

By the time he was done in Washington, Cousins had become one of the more sought-after free agents in football, commanding a monster contract from the Minnesota Vikings last offseason.

In his first season in Minnesota, the stats were certainly there for Cousins, though he could not lead the team back to the playoffs. Coming off a berth in the NFC Championship Game, the Vikings finished with an 8-7-1 record, good enough for second place in the NFC North, but not good enough for postseason play.

Cousins did complete over 70 percent of his passes, which was a career-high, while tossing 30 touchdowns. As it stands, he has had a very productive NFL career and some stellar moments, but he is not quite in the Pro Football Hall of Fame discussion.

Hall of Fame chances: 10 percent, a solid player, but not Hall of Fame worthy
