Nick Foles

  • Philadelphia Eagles (2012-2014, 2017-18)
  • St. Louis Rams (2015)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (2016)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (2019-present)

In the City of Brotherly Love, Nick Foles is already a Hall of Famer, as he was the man to finally lead their beloved Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl title. Of course, the journey to get to that place for Foles was a long road, as he started his career in Philadelphia, but had to eventually come back as a backup to earn his place in team history.

During his first run with the Eagles, Foles put together one of the better passing seasons in team history, as he threw for 27 touchdowns against only two interceptions in 2013. The Pro Bowl Most Valuable Player that season, Foles tied an NFL record on the road against the Oakland Raiders, when he threw for seven touchdowns.

By 2014, Foles’ run in Philadelphia had come to an end, and he would make stops in St. Louis (2015) and Kansas City (2016), before returning to Philadelphia to backup Carson Wentz.

In his first year back with the team, Foles sat behind Foles for much of the regular season, but when Wentz tore up his knee in the second half of the season, the veteran led the team to an unexpected Super Bowl title.

Foles would go on to pick apart the New England Patriots defense in the Super Bowl, earning Most Valuable Player honors. In 2018, he once again took over for an injured Wentz late in the season, leading them to the NFC Divisional Round, before losing to the New Orleans Saints.

This offseason, the Jacksonville Jaguars paid big money for Foles’ services. It will be interesting to see how he does outside of Philadelphia, as his two previous NFL stints outside the City of Brotherly Love have been less than stellar.
