Prior to the 2016 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams traded up with the Tennessee Titans to get the No. 1 overall selection. With that pick, the Rams selected Cal quarterback Jared Goff, who was fresh off a 43-touchdown season in his last year with the Golden Bears. He was seen as the team’s franchise quarterback as they headed to Los Angeles.

For Goff, his rookie season was a horror show, as he never really gelled with head coach Jeff Fisher. Goff looked way over his head after taking over as the starter in November. The following season, with whispers of him being a bust circling his head, Goff got a new head coach in Sean McVay, and he has been a Pro Bowl quarterback ever since.

In year No. 2, Goff completely turned his career around, throwing for over 3,800 yards, 28 touchdowns, to only seven interceptions, as he was named a Pro Bowl in place of Carson Wentz.

The funny thing is, Wentz was picked right after Goff in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. They have since become two of the better young quarterbacks in the NFL.

Last season, Goff continued to move in the right direction, throwing for over 4,600 yards, while connecting on a career-high 32 touchdown passes. In addition, Goff led the Rams to the Super Bowl, where they lost to the New England Patriots. Goff is only 24 years old. If he continues to develop at this rate, he could end up in Canton one day.

Hall of Fame chances: 50 percent, but that could increase if he continues on this pace
