The Baltimore Ravens hope to build off last season’s success to make a run at Super Bowl 54 in 2019.

Thanks to a strong finish at the end of last season, the Baltimore Ravens were able to hold on to win the AFC North title over the Pittsburgh Steelers, although it would have been more enjoyable if they didn’t lose right away in the playoffs to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Still, as frustrating as it was for the Ravens to watch their Super Bowl dreams quickly slip away in January, there’s every reason to believe this team is capable at attempting another run during the 2019 season with the talent they have to work with.

Without question, it’s going to take some time for Baltimore fans to fully accept Joe Flacco no longer being part of the picture after the team decided to trade the former Super Bowl MVP to the Denver Broncos this offseason.

Now that Flacco is officially gone, all eyes will be on Lamar Jackson to see if the former Louisville star has what it takes to be the go-to guy under center for the Ravens moving forward, which they should feel confident in based off his rookie campaign.

Like most rookies, Jackson certainly dealt with his fair share of struggles at times, but watching him handle the pressure of helping Baltimore secure a playoff spot shows he was worth trading up for in 2018 during the draft.

As for what to expect this upcoming season, like most teams, the Ravens have been busy over the last couple of months in regards to adding and losing players on both sides of the football, but there’s every reason to believe they can be a top contender in the AFC once again.
