A speedster with some upside: Reggie Davis

Another player who could be fun to watch is Reggie Davis. He was undrafted out of Georgia in 2017 and is an absolute burner. He needs a lot of refinement, which is why he’s bounced around so much early in his career. Davis has already had stints with the Atlanta Falcons (twice), the Cleveland Browns, and Philadelphia Eagles. His best bet is to get to the practice squad and improve as a route runner.

Looking for a second chance: Devin Smith

Devin Smith was a big name at one time as the New York Jets took him 37th overall out of Ohio State in 2015. He ended up playing just two seasons and had 135 yards and a touchdown on 10 receptions.

He was plagued by injuries and suffered two torn ACLs. Now healthy, he’s looking for a second shot at his NFL dream with Dallas. It’s a long shot considering the depth ahead of him, but it could be a fun story to watch.

Practice squad hopeful: Jon’Vea Johnson

A fifth-year senior at Toledo, Jon’Vea Johnson signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent. He was one of their pre-draft visits and has been a player the coaching staff really likes.

During his collegiate career, Johnson never had more than 773 yards receiving in a single season but was a deep threat with 18.1 yards per game. His best bet at this point will be to make the practice squad, which won’t be easy considering how far down he is on the chart right now.
