2. Green Bay Packers

For the first time since his rookie season back in 2005, Aaron Rodgers will have a new head coach with the Green Bay Packers. After missing the playoffs the past two seasons, Mike McCarthy was let go and coming in for 2019 will be Matt LaFleur.

It wasn’t an expected signing as LaFleur was a hot name for a spell but cooled off a little in 2018. LaFleur is just 39-years of age but has some impressive seasons under his resume.

More from NFL

He worked with Matt Schaub during his best days with the Houston Texans and was the quarterback coach for Robert Griffin in 2012 when he won the NFL Rookie of the Year.

He held the same title in Atlanta the year Matt Ryan turned things around and won the MVP and also had success with the Los Angeles Rams in 2017 as the offensive coordinator. However, in 2018 he took over as the Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator and had mixed results.

Still, the Packers liked his resume enough to interview him and LaFleur won the job. Whether or not he’s successful will have everything to do with how he works alongside Aaron Rodgers. If the two can help one another rekindle their past success, this could be the favorite to win the NFC North, which would get them back into the playoffs after their two-year drought.
