2. New receiving corps lives up to hype

As previously mentioned, the Bills were thrilled last year to select Allen in the draft when they did after seeing some of their failed attempts at quarterback over the years. However, Buffalo knows that a quarterback is only as good as the weapons he has to work with on offense, and while the ground game wasn’t too shabby, it was clear that Allen needed help in the receiving department.

While the Bills would love nothing more than to see Zay Jones finally live up to the hype for a change, the team did happen to add two more receivers to the picture this offseason in John Brown and Cole Beasley.

Compared to some of the other receivers across the league, these two additions may not seem like the most attractive options for Buffalo, but also there’s always the chance of these signings turning out to be absolute steals.

With Brown hopefully using speed to his advantage on numerous deep passes from Allen, the Bills also hope that Beasley takes advantage of a fresh start on a new team by finding a way to make more of an impact.

Relying on his receives as a rookie was a difficult challenge for Allen on offense, but give the Bills credit for somewhat upgrading the situation heading into the quarterback’s sophomore campaign.
