3 Ways Buffalo Bills can win Super Bowl 54
By Dan Parzych
1. Allen takes major leap at quarterback
Originally, the plan for the Bills on offense last season seemed to be let Allen spend his first NFL season learning from the sidelines, which obviously didn’t turn out to be the case.
By finishing with a 5-6 record as the starter, Allen will hopefully use this surprise rookie experience to his advantage heading into 2019 to make sure that he improves in certain areas to help Buffalo’s offense reach new levels.
No one needs to explain to the Bills just how much their inconsistency on offense over the years has been holding the team back from reaching their true potential, but on a positive note, at least they seem to be making the right moves.
Buffalo’s offense most likely won’t rank near the top of the league with some of the best, but as long as it’s good enough to help the Bills win games, and take some of the pressure off the defense, this is what will be most important for Sean McDermott’s squad.
Allen sort of received a pass as a rookie since Buffalo knew he was adjusting to playing at the NFL level, but it’s going to be difficult to come up with excuses moving forward if some of his previous struggles continue.
The Bills never would have used a first-round pick on Allen if they didn’t truly believe he was capable of becoming the quarterback the franchise has spent years waiting for, so here’s to hoping the youngster has what it takes to live up to the hype in 2019.
