Every team goes through a phase where they just fall apart and have to rebuild. Here are 5 teams that could be set for such implosion in the NFL 2019 season.

The NFL is a cyclical sport where most teams — except the New England Patriots — go through their share of highs and lows. One perfect example of this is the Carolina Panthers, a team that has never had back-to-back winning seasons. This doesn’t mean they’ve been awful, they just keep teetering between good and bad.

Since going 12-4 back in 2013, Carolina has had a 7-8-1 campaign, a 15-1 season which led to a Super Bowl berth, a 6-10 year, and an 11-5 mark in 2017. Then last season, they went 7-9.

Based on their roller coaster of late, the Panthers should be a good team in the NFL 2019 season. That is, of course, as long as quarterback Cam Newton returns to full health. That’s been a question as of late, as Newton has taken quite a beating throughout his career and had to be sidelined with a shoulder injury to end last year. So far, things are looking up and he’s at least throwing the ball again.

That means the safe money on Carolina would be to bet on them having more success this season than last. However, some other teams could be ready to start falling apart this year.

With that being said, we look at five clubs that could be in danger of imploding during the upcoming football season.
