5 NFL players under pressure to step up in 2019 season
After a chaotic NFL offseason, many players will need to produce for their teams. Here are the players that are under the most pressure to perform well in 2019.
The 2019 NFL offseason has given us its fair share of drama. From feuding teammates, to key free agents signings, to blockbuster trades, the NFL was like a reality show when the new league year started back in March. With OTAs going on, some players will be practicing with new teams, and some players will be returning to the same teams they played for last season.
Everyone feels confident about their team’s chances of winning it all this time of year. Everyone is 0-0 and players feel very confident that they, along with their teammates (old or new) can build chemistry and cohesiveness that will lead them to the Lombardi trophy.
The pressure to produce in the NFL is always there for players and coaches, but let’s focus on the players this time around.
Many big-name players made moves to new teams this year, whether they asked for it or not. Some players were involved in inter-team drama, which caused friction in their franchises. Some are coming off of an injury, which puts further pressure on them to produce, showing fans and coaches that they still have what it takes to succeed in the league.
There are five players in particular who are under a great amount of pressure to produce for their teams. Each of them has different storylines, but they definitely feel the pressure to play well this upcoming 2019 season.
