Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson has again asked for a trade, so where could John Dorsey send him to grant his request?

The Cleveland Browns have made significant additions to their offense throughout the past two seasons and one quiet focus has been bolstering the running back group. Not only did they take Nick Chubb out of Georgia in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft but John Dorsey then signed Kareem Hunt this offseason. That has left Duke Johnson Jr. a bit unhappy.

Earlier this offseason, Johnson requested a trade out of Cleveland, though the Browns have not yet obliged to his request just yet. However, as mandatory minicamp began for the Browns on Tuesday, the running back reiterated where he stood on the matter, telling ESPN’s Jake Trotter that he still wants to be traded away from the Browns.

Johnson’s stance has not been particularly well received by his current teammates, particularly second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield, who voiced his displeasure over the situation. With the situation seemingly souring by the minute, it does feel like only a matter of time before Duke Johnson is no longer with the Cleveland Browns.

Many fans and analysts have been waiting for Johnson to have a true breakout season for quite some time now but it has yet to come to fruition. Even still, the running back represents a seemingly perfect fit in the modern NFL with his biggest asset as a player being that he’s a terrific pass-catcher out of the backfield.

Because of that, there shouldn’t be a shortage of teams that could use Johnson’s services as we head towards the 2019 season. So then, if the Browns are indeed inclined to trade him, these three teams would make sense as possible trade partners for Dorsey and Cleveland to do business with.
