The 2019 NFL season will be here before you know it. So what are some important numbers when it comes to Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs?

The New England Patriots are the gold standard when it comes to getting to the NFL postseason. The team has reached the playoffs a league-record 10 consecutive years. As for the second-active longest streak in that regard, it currently belongs to the Kansas City Chiefs. Of course, Andy Reid’s club hasn’t had nearly the success as Bill Belichick’s squad.

The Pats have reached the AFC title game every year since 2011 and have been in the Super Bowl five times over that span. This past season, Kansas City reached the playoffs for the fourth straight year and for the first time hosted the AFC title game. But the Chiefs fell short in overtime, 37-31, to the aforementioned Patriots.

But Reid’s club is preparing for a new season with hopes of taking the franchise back to the Super Bowl exactly 50 years after the franchise’s last appearance in the “Big Game.” But first things first and that’s winning the AFC West for the fourth straight year. That won’t be an easy task with the Los Angeles Chargers (who also finished 12-4 in 2018) on their heels.

When it comes to this series, there’s already been a look at the pertinent numbers in regards to the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints. So what three key statistics are the most vital when it comes to Reid and the defending division champions in terms of 2019?
