6. Philadelphia Eagles (6)

After looking dead in the water last season, the Philadelphia Eagles found a way to fight their way into the postseason. Once again, this happened as Carson Wentz was sidelined with an injury. With him nursing a back problem, Nick Foles came in and took them into the second round of the playoffs. Unlike the playoffs following 2017, Foles was unable to win the Super Bowl, but he still proved to be a clutch player for them again.

Despite his success, the Eagles let him leave in the offseason and decided instead to extend Carson Wentz. While there’s no doubt Wentz has more talent, he has had major durability concerns, which makes the decision risky.

In an effort to keep him upright, the Eagles added Andre Dillard in the first round and he should eventually transition to the starting left tackle spot. Philly also beefed up their running game as they traded for Jordan Howard and drafted Miles Sanders. Wentz will also have a new deep threat as they brought DeSean Jackson back to the fold after he left Tampa Bay.

Defensively, they were able to keep Brandon Graham and even signed Malik Jackson. Factor in the return of Derek Barnett from injury and this team should be much better — as long as they stay healthy in key positions.
