30. Oakland Raiders (30)

Well, the good news is HBO’s Hard Knocks should be interesting. The cable network picked the right franchise for this year’s edition as they decided to follow the Oakland Raiders during their 2019 training camp.

That means we will all get an up-close look at how players such as wide receiver Antonio Brown and linebacker Vontaze Burfict fit alongside their colorful coach, Jon Gruden. We should also see how former broadcaster Mike Mayock conducts himself as the general manager.

But we all know Gruden will be the star no matter who gets featured. The coach may have made several questionable moves last season, but he’s always been entertaining. He’s going to make a few amazing quotes and will surely lose his temper a time or two.

All of that is true and will be glorious. What may be a disaster though, is their play on the field. Oakland was a dumpster fire in 2018 and managed just four wins. They improved their roster some with Brown and their three first-round picks but there are still questions about Derek Carr working for Gruden.

There’s also the fact that Brown has become quite the distraction late in his career. None of this bodes well for the Raiders this coming season.
