25. Detroit Lions (25)

It’s kind of hard to believe in the Detroit Lions heading into 2019 due to the way things have gone under Matt Patricia in the first year. Coming over from the New England Patriots, he understands what it takes to win.

He saw Bill Belichick command respect in the press conference as well as with his players. No one questions Belichick because they all know he’s a winner. Patricia seems to be aiming for that same status, but he’s going about it all wrong. Belichick earned that by going out and winning. Patricia is verbally demanding it, like when he chastised a reporter for slouching and “not respecting the process.”

In addition to this outburst, the coach has been known to be routinely late, a trait he surely wouldn’t put up with from his players — or those disrespectful reporters.

Detroit has also gone out and added a few former Patriots such as Danny Amendola and Trey Flowers. This also rarely works out as Belichick rarely lets players leave if they’re worth the money it will take to keep them. Until proved otherwise, the Lions feel like a team that’s not going to have a lot of success any time soon.
