1. Zay Jones

A familiar face enters the mix at the top spot. Zay Jones was Buffalo’s leading receiver last season and looks to do the same in 2019. His 2018 season consisted of the team lead in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns. He returns as the favorite target for Josh Allen and is just about the only receiver on the team with chemistry heading into camp. He may not have the speed of John Brown or the route tree of Cole Beasley, but Jones is a solid overall player.

Jones is entering his third season in the NFL. The tools are there for Jones to be a dominant receiver, and he knows it. After missing time last summer due to injuries, Jones made sure to put in extra work this time around. He was named the team’s workout champion this offseason:

It is always important for young quarterbacks to build rapport with his receivers. Both Allen and Jones are young focal points of the offense. Look for them to connect and build a connection that will last for several years.

The potential is there for these two to be a deadly duo in the AFC East. Time will tell, but the Bills appear to have a pretty dynamic receiving corps heading into 2019. The tight ends and running backs will play a huge role in the passing game as well. They are heading in the right direction offensively.
